Assessment of Air Pollutant Emissions from Brick Kilns

In response to the need to the brick industry to shift to less polluting brick making technologies, this assessment points out that Zigzag and vertical shaft brick kilns showed better performance in terms of emissions over the traditional fixed chimney Bull’s trench kilns.  The research paper further points out a switch to these kinds of cleaner technologies will significantly contribute to the environmental performance of the brick kiln industry.
